Transcript of Bachelor’s, Masters, or Doctorate Degree from an accredited college/university
Transcript of an Associate’s Degree in a focused field of study from an accredited college/university
Transcript of completion of 30 semester credit hours at an accredited college/university
Transcript of College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exam equivalent to 30 credit hours from an accredited college/university
Transcript of any combination of completed semester credit hours and CLEP exams from an accredited college/university

Residential Appraiser Site Valuation and Cost Approach (15 hours)

Pass the National and State Exams for Certified Residential Appraisers

Provide a complete list of all jurisdictions where you currently hold or have ever held a permit, certificate, or license.
Note: Certified license histories are not required.

Effective January 1, 2026, new applicants for certification will be required to complete an eight-hour course on Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Laws and Regulations as part of the required core curriculum. This course covers the same content as the seven-hour Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Laws and Regulations course, but include a one-hour examination, as required for qualifying education.

Once the Board has received your completed application and verified your work hours on your work log:
The Board will email you to submit two (2) appraisals from your work log.
Once your work log and appraisals are reviewed and approved, the Board will send you an exam approval email.
